Briefing

We were commissioned by our client Bahlsen to develop an eye-catching design for the new Messino Limited Summer Edition "Lime-Lemon".


The Bahlsen Messino products stand for values such as enjoyment, joy and good spirits and offer the perfect balance between sweet sponge, refreshing fruit filling and crispy chocolate.

Work

We took up certain facets of summer in the design and interpreted them to match the Bahlsen Messino product range.


The ingredients of the Messino Limited Edition "Lime and Lemon" are representative of the taste of summer, which we present in a refreshing and light way: Intense colours as well as a combination of photo-realistic, natural fruit illustrations and a variety name in hand-lettering style.

Outcome

The naming was also part of the assignment. From our suggestions, the edition name "it's lime time" finally prevailed. This play on words, summer and fruit, fits harmoniously into the design and exudes good vibes and joy of life.


The limited summer edition clearly stands out from the standard range, but also integrates into the familiar Bahlsen brand architecture. This is characterised by the blue Bahlsen Bubble, the familiar logo and the variety name.
